These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of ruthlessinvestor.com (the “Site”) and the calculators and tools on it (the “Tools”). The Site is operated under the name Ruthless Investor (“we,” “us,” “our”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. For education only

For education only. Not financial, tax, or legal advice. Nothing on the Site is a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or convert any asset, to claim any benefit, or to take any particular financial, tax, or legal action. We are not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, tax preparer, or law firm. Consult a qualified professional about your own situation.

2. How the Tools work, and their limits

The Tools produce estimates from the numbers and assumptions you enter, plus the built-in assumptions we describe on each page.
The Retirement Stress Test is a Monte Carlo simulation. It shows the share of simulated paths in which money lasts under stated assumptions. It is not a prediction, a forecast, or a probability that your actual retirement will succeed. Real markets, inflation, taxes, health costs, and life events can differ materially from any simulation.
The marketplace fee calculators (Max Buy, Max Sell, FEE Check) use fee rates we last checked in September 2026. Marketplaces change their fees and rules often, and your actual fees may differ because of category, account type, promotions, shipping, taxes, or other factors. Verify current fees with the marketplace before you rely on a result.
Results may contain errors. You are responsible for checking them and for how you use them.

3. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also subject to our Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) use the Site in violation of any law; (b) attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Site or its hosting; (c) scrape or copy the Site at scale or resell the Tools without permission; or (d) misrepresent our Tools or their results as professional advice.

5. Intellectual property

The Site, the Tools, the design, text, mascot artwork, and code are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. You may use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use. Except as allowed by law or with our written permission, do not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from them.

6. Third-party names and links

eBay, Poshmark, Mercari, Etsy, Facebook, Amazon, and other names are trademarks of their respective owners. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by them. Links to other sites are provided for convenience; we do not control and are not responsible for third-party sites.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE AND TOOLS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
